Good food, great service in a new restaurant!

I had the fried perch. I loved it! They had a great salad bar

We were passing through the area and decided to stop here for dinner. We were very glad we did. One of the sweetest waitress I've ever had. You get very generous portions. Everybody at the table loved their food. I recommend "The Big Daddy".

We ordered delivery to the Country Inn & Suites. Very good pizza, fast and friendly delivery person

So far they were out of wings and the Ruben balls. Not a good start. Why 3 stars. Hopefully my Italian sandwich is good

I've been here a couple times now. I get the fish dinner (not the Friday special) and my hubby gets a hamburger. Little pricey. The pasta type salads are not to my liking but the soups are usually good. Adequate toppings provided for the lettuce salad. This last visit I tried the lunch special popcorn chicken bowl. It's a couple of nice chicken pieces on top of the gravy but under, in the potatoes are old, dried up, pieces of some kind of cut up left over from some kind of chicken dish. It's not popcorn chicken. Shame on you. I'm not wild about the place but it's good enough for the 3 stars I gave it because I probably won't be going back that much.

Great food with generous portions at an affordable price. Service was courteous and friendly. I went away full and i only spent a little over seven dollars for a half pound cheeseburger with everything and a huge helping of waffle fries

WOW ! Far exceeded any preconceived idea. Great Pike meal. Great mashed potatoes. Tough to park on a Friday Eve but, was worth it.

Husband and I stopped as we were traveling through. We both liked the cabin wood feel. It's not very big but it has a bar and dining room area. I had their pulled pork meal and it was very tasty. Husband had Italian beef and liked it. We'll stop again.

We stopped here before the 4th of July fireworks show. They were packed, but our waitress was so friendly and quick. We ordered the chicken, bacon, and ranch and really enjoyed it.

They weren't very busy, but we waited a long time to get our food and then it wasn't that great. And we asked twice for our silverware; by the time our waitress finally brought it, my grilled chicken was cold!

The soup,salad bar and food is very good. The atmosphere is family friendly. Kati is a good waitress. Highly recommend this place !

Nice place, we stop in whenever we come to apple canyon

Food came out super fast, by the time I got my salad and got back to the table my food was there, waitress kept it under the heat lamp until I was ready for it, waitress was great .

We stop here once a year on our way back from a car show in Iowa. The food is actually really good and the wait staff is nice and friendly. They usually have really good soups available as well. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Food was good and service was very good. I had the pulled pork sandwich and they did not skimp out on the pork, they loaded it up. Not a huge selection on the menu but they cover the bases very well.

Best thing call ahead.Six people in the place.After 40 mins got our food. Had an app in 15 mins Later, told them box it up we have to go. I know they had carry out orders but really disappointed.

Sadly disappointed. The all you can eat Pike was awful. The garlic couldn't cover the blandness, the tartar sauce helped a little.

The place looked nice outside and in with a rustic feel to the place. Waitress was grumpy. Salad bar was Meh.

We were there on Saturday and had a wonderful time. Enjoyed the outdoor seating and that they had a dog menu and dog treats! Jay the owner was very nice and personable. Gave us places to stop at on our way to Galena. We were so happy that we stopped back by in our way to Rockford. Thank you Jay! We will definitely be back. Nice, clean, affordable and personable place.

Good food friendly staff very clean

The staff was friendly, atmosphere was pretty cool inside the restaurant. Food was ok. The salad bar was all you can eat but really only had lettuce, cucumber, onion, tomatoes and cheese. The macaroni salad had no flavor. I probably would go back since I give each restaurant 2 times but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Staff was awesome. Food was incredible. I don’t live here and was passing through to see family. I will be back. Thanks for making me feel like a local even though I wasn’t.

Did not get a waitress for 15 mins then had a 1 hour and 30 min wait for food. Half of us did not even get our food. They blamed it on take out orders.

Food is great!

The Prime Rib and 3 Shrimp was delicious, one with baked potato and one with waffle fries. They offered a creamy horseradish sauce that was very good with the Prime Rib.However, the lettuce at the salad bar was odd, almost like it had gotten frozen; but everyone else seemed to be eating it no prob. One other thing, it was our first time here, it's not clear if you are walking in the right door when you go in (there are 2 entrances). And, no one greeted us, so we kind of stood there awkwardly til we saw a waitress to ask and we were told we could sit anywhere. A little direction would be nice.Overall, a good meal. We will go back again.

Food was awesome. It was crazy busy and a few bumps but still had great food.

This place looks really fancy. Its food looks good, but it is really bland. There is a real lack in taste when it comes to the chefs making food here. The food is not bad though, it just does not really have that much flavor.

Servers were extremely attentive and friendly. The cheese curds were delicious. Ask for marinara instead of the ranch. The buffalo chicken sandwich was good but needs cheese and the fixings to be a better sandwich. The beef sandwich was also decent but I would ask for a side of auju as it was a bit dry. Overall would still eat there again when passing through .
